How to measure

Walk the fence line and measure its total length. Mark where gates and corners will go, since each one needs its own post.

Tips from the field

  • Based on 5.5 inch wide pickets with 5% extra. Add posts for every gate and corner.
  • Set posts about a third of their length in the ground. Deeper in soft or wet soil.
